he Maharashtra government has officially announced major changes to the scholarship examination pattern. Starting from the 2026–27 academic year, the Maharashtra Scholarship Exam 2026 will now be conducted for Class 4 and Class 7 instead of Class 5 and 8.

Eligibility for Maharashtra Scholarship Exam 2026
Students studying in:
- Government schools
- Aided & unaided schools
- Permanently unaided schools
- Self-financed schools
- CBSE, ICSE & other recognised boards (conditions apply)
Age Limits (as of June 1):
- Class 4: Max age 10 years (14 years for disabled students)
- Class 7: Max age 13 years (17 years for disabled students)
This ensures fair opportunities for students across all education boards in Maharashtra.

- ₹200 – General category students
- ₹125 – SC, ST, NT, DT & disabled candidates
- ₹200 – Annual registration fee (paid by schools)
